Beirut, May 27 -- The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Wednesday that it detected a rocket launched from Lebanon, with one projectile crossing into Israeli territory and landing in an open area. No injuries or casualties were reported.

"Following sirens that sounded a short while ago in several areas in northern Israel, one projectile launched from Lebanon crossed into Israeli territory and fell in an open area. No injuries were reported," the IDF said.

The military added that there were no reports of damage or casualties.
