Tel Aviv, March 25 -- The Israel Defence Forces said on Wednesday that it recently carried out airstrikes against several Iranian key naval cruise missile production centres, causing "extensive damage" to them in the process.

Issuing a statement, the IDF said that the sites "were used by the Iranian regime to develop and manufacture long-range naval cruise missiles, which are capable of rapidly destroying targets at sea and on land," adding that its attacks "represent another step in deepening the damage done to the regime's military production infrastructure."Separately, the IDF said it had struck what it described as the only facility in Iran producing submarines and related support systems for the navy.
