New Delhi, Sept. 25 -- The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) on Friday strengthened maritime cooperation with Australia, Japan and the United States as its ship Shaunak sailed from Chennai for Perth under the QUAD-at-Sea Ship Observer Mission.
The mission brings together personnel from the four QUAD countries for shipboard activities and professional exchanges aimed at enhancing interoperability, improving coordination and strengthening mutual trust among the maritime forces.
Six officers, described as Sea Riders, have embarked on Shaunak for the mission. The contingent comprises two officers each from India and Japan and one officer each from Australia and the United States.
