New Delhi, June 1 -- The ICC has rescheduled the inaugural Women's Champions Trophy, moving it from its originally planned June-July window to February 14-28, 2027.
The decision was approved during the ICC Board's quarterly meeting in Ahmedabad over the weekend, although no specific reason was provided for the change.
The tournament, which was first announced in 2022 and will be hosted by Sri Lanka, will feature eight teams competing in the T20 format. The revised schedule means the event could partially overlap with New Zealand's white-ball tour of Australia, which is scheduled to run from February 27 to March 7, 2027.
