Eidenburg, Jan. 25 -- In one of those unexpected twists that make cricket so fascinating, Scotland have officially been confirmed as Bangladesh's replacement for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.
Cricket Scotland said the squad is preparing to travel to India immediately to acclimatise ahead of the tournament, which begins on February 7.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) extended the invitation after Bangladesh withdrew over security concerns. Despite assurances from the ICC, Bangladesh maintained their decision, prompting Scotland to step in.
