Moscow, March 13 -- International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) director General Rafael Grossi, who is in Moscow, said on Friday he is considering discussing Russia's role in West Asia during a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Grossi also expressed hope that negotiations with Iran over its nuclear programme could soon resume.

"We hope to return to the negotiating table to achieve a predictable, long-term agreement," Grossi told media.

He noted that, given limited access to Iranian nuclear sites and the scale of uranium enrichment, the agency cannot provide definitive proof that Iran has no plans to develop nuclear weapons, Sputnik reported.
