Mumbai, Sept. 28 -- The Income Tax Department on Monday conducted searches at around 12 premises in Mumbai allegedly linked to Bollywood actor Rakul Preet Singh, filmmaker Vashu Bhagnani and Panorama Studios in connection with a suspected tax evasion case, sources said.
Multiple teams of the Mumbai Income Tax Department are understood to be carrying out the searches as part of an investigation into alleged irregularities in financial transactions and suspected diversion of funds abroad in the guise of film production, shooting and overseas distribution expenses.
Officials are examining financial records, bank statements, transaction details and digital devices as part of the operation, sources said.
