Mysuru, Nov. 22 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah struck a lighthearted yet inspiring note on Saturday, saying he plans to live at least 100 years while reiterating his commitment to serve as per the party's high command.
Speaking at an event here, Siddaramaiah, who has now completed 78 years and entered his 79th year, recalled a humorous exchange with Mahatma Gandhi about life expectancy.
"I am now 79 years and 4 months old, and I intend to live 100 years," Siddaramaiah said. He recounted that in the past, he had written a letter to Gandhiji stating his wish to live a century.
