Mumbai, Oct. 20 -- The Customs authorities at Mumbai international airport made two major seizures in separate operations, recovering hydroponic weed worth approximately Rs 10.50 crore and gold worth Rs 23 lakh from different passengers.

The coordinated operations at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport led to the interception of individuals arriving from international destinations.

In the first case, Customs officers, acting on specific intelligence, intercepted a passenger arriving from Bangkok. During baggage inspection, officials discovered 10.50 kilograms of suspected hydroponic weed, a high-quality variety of marijuana, concealed inside the passenger's checked-in trolley bag.
