Hyderabad, May 30 -- The Hyderabad City Police today accorded a grand farewell to 37 police personnel who will be retiring on superannuation on May 31 after long years of service in the police department.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar attended the felicitation programme as the chief guest and honoured the retiring officers with shawls and mementoes in recognition of their service.
Addressing the gathering, Sajjanar lauded the retirees for their dedication and commitment during nearly four decades of service.
He noted that they had witnessed the transformation of policing from bicycle patrols to modern vehicle-based and technology-driven policing systems.
