Hyderabad, April 23 -- The Hyderabad City Police has expanded its Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) from two teams to five specialised units to intensify action against drug trafficking and narcotics-related offences.

The expansion has been undertaken under the leadership of Commissioner of Police V C Sajjanar, following a zero-tolerance approach towards drug crimes.

A new H-NEW office was inaugurated at Rajendranagar by Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Task Force/H-NEW.
