Hyderabad, July 23 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Hyderabad City Police have arrested five alleged QNET independent representatives from a resort in Goa in connection with a multi-lakh pyramid and money circulation fraud case.
The accused, all natives of Kerala, were apprehended on July 18 during a QNET event at Novotel Resort & Spa, Candolim, Goa, following an investigation into a complaint filed by Hyderabad resident Sardar Sharanpal Singh.
Police alleged that the complainant was lured through Instagram into investing Rs 7.5 lakh in the guise of a luxury goods business and was initially persuaded to transfer Rs 30,000 as a booking amount, according to the police statement released on Thursday.
