Hyderabad, June 9 -- Hyderabad In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Tuesday reviewed the situation following heavy rains that lashed several parts of the city in the evening.
The Minister spoke over the phone with the GHMC Commissioner, City Police Commissioner and Hyderabad District Collector to assess the impact of the sudden downpour and the difficulties faced by the public due to waterlogging and traffic disruptions.
He noted that rainwater had accumulated to knee-deep levels in several areas, causing inconvenience to motorists and commuters.
The Minister also reviewed incidents of uprooted trees and snapped power lines caused by gusty winds.
