Hyderabad, Jan. 25 -- Head Constable Marri Venkata Reddy of the Hyderabad Police has been selected for a Gallantry Award in recognition of his exceptional courage and devotion to duty, following his brave actions during the arrest of a notorious armed criminal in Gachibowli last year.
The award recognises Venkata Reddy's calm and fearless response when confronted by Prabhakar alias Rahul Reddy, a hardened offender with over 125 criminal cases to his name.
Acting on credible intelligence, the head constable led a small team to intercept the fugitive near Prism Pub in Gowlidoddi in the city.
