Hyderabad, May 14 -- A major fire broke out in a row of shops at Hayatnagar on Thursday evening, causing extensive property damage.
According to police, the fire initially erupted in an electrical and hardware shop located beside the National Highway service road. The flames later spread to a nearby mattress shop, destroying furniture and other materials stored there. Two other adjoining shops also caught fire during the incident.
A motorcycle parked near the shops was completely gutted in the blaze.
Preliminary reports suggest that the fire may have been caused by an electrical short circuit.
