Hyderabad, May 31 -- Hyderabad and Cyberabad Traffic Police booked a total of 768 drunk driving cases during special enforcement drives conducted over the weekend as part of efforts to improve road safety.
Hyderabad Traffic Police conducted a two-day special drive on May 29 and 30 and caught 475 motorists driving under the influence of alcohol. Among them were 397 two-wheeler riders, 36 three-wheeler drivers, and 42 four-wheeler and other vehicle drivers.
Police said the highest number of offenders fell in the Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) range of 51-100 mg/100 ml. Nine persons were found with BAC levels above 300 mg/100 ml.
