Hyderabad, April 21 -- A nine-month-old infant from Raipur in Chhattisgarh was successfully treated and saved after being airlifted to Hyderabad and undergoing 45 days of intensive care at KIMS Cuddles, Kondapur.

A hospital statement on Tuesday said, the infant, initially admitted with cold and cough, developed severe adenoviral pneumonia leading to respiratory failure. As the condition worsened despite ventilator support, a specialised paediatric intensive care transport team from KIMS Cuddles rushed to Raipur, stabilised the child, and coordinated an emergency airlift to Hyderabad.
