Imphal, April 9 -- Search operations continued on Thursday in the state against militants, especially in Churachandpur district, after the killing of two children of a BSF soldier by suspected Kuki militants.
The situation remained tense and internet mobile services remained suspended in Imphal East and West, Thoubal, Bihnupur and Kakching districts.
All exams and major events scheduled on Thursday were cancelled as curfew is imposed in the districts where there is a ban on internet services. All markets remained closed and the entire main market in Imphal was also cordoned off by security personnel. Strategic locations remained heavily guarded.
