Aizawl, July 22 -- Hundreds of young people, mostly students, took to the streets of Aizawl in a peaceful protest against the alleged NEET paper leak and in solidarity with activist Sonam Wangchuk, joining similar demonstrations being held in Delhi.
What began as a social media call issued at short notice turned into one of the largest youth-led demonstrations in the city in recent times.
Unlike most public protests, the rally was not organised by any well-established organisation and was announced without a formal press conference or press statement.
The appeal, which went viral on Monday, drew a large turnout the following morning.
