Ranchi, March 11 -- Former Indian Space Research Organisation chairman A S Kiran Kumar said the functioning of the human body has inspired the development of modern remote sensing technologies used in satellites.
Speaking at the inaugural session of a national conference on geospatial technologies at the Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) here, Kumar said the human body itself functions as a highly advanced natural remote sensing system.
"Our eyes, ears, nose, skin and tongue act as sensors that collect signals from the surroundings, while the brain processes the information and assists in decision making," he said.
