Bhubaneswar, June 9 -- In a major success for security forces in the anti-Maoist campaign, a huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosive materials allegedly belonging to Maoist cadres was seized from forest areas near the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border in Malkangiri district.
According to a release issued by the Odisha Police Headquarters on Tuesday, the recovery was made during a joint combing operation carried out by personnel of the District Voluntary Force (DVF) and the Border Security Force (BSF) in the forested areas of Kirmiti and Katuapadar under the jurisdiction of Mathili police station.
