Shimla, Oct. 28 -- The Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) Una Division has taken swift disciplinary action after a video showing a damaged driver's seat in one of its buses went viral on social media.
The corporation initiated an inquiry into the matter and suspended the driver for negligence in duty.
According to an official statement issued by the HRTC Una Division, the viral video featured bus number HP-72A-9226, in which the back portion of the driver's seat was shown broken. Taking serious note of the incident, the department immediately conducted an internal investigation. The bus was inspected in the workshop, where it was found that the seat was fully secure and without any defect prior to departure.
