Dharamshala, July 27 -- The Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Response Force (HP SDRF) on Sunday conducted an area familiarisation exercise in Siddhpur (Ward No. 16) and Siddhwari (Ward No. 17) of the Dharamshala Municipal Corporation to strengthen disaster preparedness and enhance emergency response mechanisms.
A 15-member SDRF team from Kangra participated in the exercise, which focused on improving pre-disaster planning and coordination at the local level.
During the exercise, the SDRF team interacted with ward councillors, members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and other local stakeholders to gather information on available resources, local coordination systems, and arrangements for immediate relief and rescue operations during emergencies...
