Shimla, June 29 -- The Himachal Pradesh Government on Monday said it has released Rs 212 crore towards medical reimbursement for government employees and pensioners during the current financial year up to June 27, attributing the move to an improvement in the state's financial position under its "Vyavastha Parivartan" reforms.
According to an official statement, Rs 131.03 crore has been released for settling the medical reimbursement claims of pensioners, while Rs 80.97 crore has been allocated for government employees.
The Finance Department sanctioned the funds on the directions of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to expedite the clearance of pending reimbursement claims.
