Shimla, March 19 -- Himachal Pradesh High Court on Thursday took serious note of the state government's failure to file a status report in the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case registered against BJP MLA from Churah, Dr. Hans Raj, and warned of strict action in case of further delay.
Hearing a petition challenging the grant of bail to the MLA, the bench of Justice Sandeep Sharma observed that despite being given repeated opportunities, the state had failed to submit the required status report. The court expressed displeasure over the lapse and granted the government a final extension of 10 days to comply.
