Shimla, Sept. 7 -- The Congress government in Himachal Pradesh has rolled back the higher grade pay benefits granted to employees during the previous Jairam Thakur government.

The Finance Department issued a fresh notification on Saturday, withdrawing the earlier order of September 6, 2022, that had allowed employees of 89 categories to draw higher pay scales after completing two years of regular service.

With this reversal, the salaries of affected employees will now be refixed as if Rule 7A had never been included in the Himachal Pradesh Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2022.

The decision is expected to impact more than 10,000 employees across the state. Employees claim that the rollback will reduce their monthly salary by Rs 10,000...
