Ashok RainaDharamshala, June 27 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday announced a series of welfare and development measures for the remote Bara Bhangal region of Kangra district, including a monthly financial assistance of Rs 1,500 for all eligible women under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana.
During his visit to one of the state's most inaccessible regions, the Chief Minister interacted with local residents to understand their problems and announced six major initiatives aimed at improving their quality of life.
He said generator sets would be installed to ensure round-the-clock electricity supply in the region.
