Hamirpur(HP), Sept. 2 -- Hamirpur police have registered a case against a woman for allegedly slapping a Junior Engineer of the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEB) who had gone to install a smart meter at a shop owned by the woman.
The JE has lodged a complaint at the Bhota police outpost, and the police have initiated an investigation based on it.
Reports indicate that the Electricity Board employees had arrived at a shop to install a smart meter, when the incident occurred.
Hamirpur SP Balbir Singh stated that the police have received the complaint and the matter is being investigated.
He said that the police have also recorded the statement of the alleged accused woman.
