Ashok RainaDharamshala, Aug. 31 -- Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry, Dr. Seema Guleria, stated that the Animal Husbandry Department has initiated a campaign-based vaccination program to prevent the spread of lumpy disease among animals.
She stated that the department has received a total of 135,000 vaccine doses, and approximately 15,000 animals have been vaccinated so far.
She said that animals infected with lumpy disease may show symptoms such as high fever, hard lumps on the skin, discharge from the eyes and nose, lethargy, decreased mouth function, and a drop in milk production.
Department teams are continuously monitoring infected animals.
