Shimla, Jan. 21 -- A two-storey residential house was completely gutted in a fire that broke out today evening at Batara village in Tikkar tehsil of Shimla district.
Fortunately, no loss of life or injuries were reported in the incident.
According to information, the fire erupted at around 6 pm in the house belonging to Shyam Lal Nalwa, a resident of Batara village under Pujarli Post Office No. 3.
The house comprised four rooms and was largely constructed with combustible material, which caused the flames to spread rapidly. Within a short time, the entire structure was engulfed by fire, leaving little scope to save household belongings.
