Dharamshala, June 15 -- Continuing its crackdown on narcotics under the Himachal Pradesh government's "Drug-Free Himachal Campaign", Dehra Police arrested two persons and recovered 1.09 grams of heroin (chitta) from their possession in Kangra district.
Dehra district superintendent of police Mayank Chaudhary told UNI that a team from Rakkar Police Station was conducting routine patrolling and checking on June 12 when, acting on specific information, they intercepted two suspects near Lower Kaloha.
He said that following due legal procedures under the NDPS Act, the police searched the duo and recovered 1.09 grams of heroin from their possession.
