HP: Retired professors upset over delay in fixation of pension and family pension

Ashok RainaDharamshala, July 23 -- Resentment prevails among Retired Professors over the delay in fixation of Pension and family pension of the Pre- 2016 University Grants Commission (UGC) Scale retirees with effect from January 1, 2016, and release of the accrued arrears by the Himachal Pradesh government.

Dr. Vijay Sharma, President Retired Professors Forum Dharamshala, told UNI that as per the HP Govt Finance Department notification (pension) dated September 8, 2022 and further corrigendum in January 17, 2023, necessary orders were issued for the fixation of Pension and family pension of Pre- 2016.
