Kangra, Aug. 17 -- An unidentified person was reportedly swept away in the strong current of the Khola Khadd at Puhara near Shahpur following heavy rainfall and his body was recovered from near Lanj today evening, officials said today.
Deputy Chief Whip and Shahpur MLA Kewal Singh Pathania, along with a local police team, reached the spot soon after receiving information about the incident and took stock of the situation.
Pathania said the police team had reached the site immediately, but the identity of the person could not be ascertained due to the extremely strong flow of water in the stream.
