Nurpur, Sept. 15 -- Nurpur Police have arrested two persons under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, alongside the recovery of charas (cannabis) from their possession in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district, police said on Monday.

Additional Superintendent of Police, Nurpur, Dharam Chand Verma told UNI that the action has been carried out by a team of the CIA Nurpur during patrolling and surveillance in the Lab Chowk area on Sunday evening.

Acting on credible information that two persons were allegedly involved in drug trafficking near the Shiv Temple at Kehrian village, the police team reached the spot along with an independent witness, Verma disclosed.
