Hamirpur (HP), March 20 -- Normal life has been disrupted badly in all parts of the Hamirpur district due to heavy rains lashing the area since Thursday afternoon.

It rained heavily on the intervening nights of Thursday and Friday as a result, the temperature has fallen sharply. People are forced to adorn heavy woollen to save them from the wrath of cold.

Worst affected were the schoolchildren who were appearing for CBSE and HP board school examinations.

Water level in River Beas and its tributaries has also risen, and people are advised not to go near the River Beas and its tributaries to save them from its wrath.
