Una (HP), June 10 -- The path has been cleared for developing a modern sewerage system in the industrial town of Tahliwal, located in the Haroli Assembly constituency.

The state government's Jal Shakti Department has granted administrative approval for a sewerage project costing Rs 24.10 crore. An expenditure sanction of Rs1 crore has also been issued for the initial implementation of the project, according to Mukesh Agnihotri, HP Deputy Chief Minister.

Deputy Chief Minister cum Haroli MLA Mukesh Agnihotri said last evening that a modern sewerage system had become a necessity for the Tahliwal area, given the growing population, industrial activities, and urban expansion.
