Shimla, March 24 -- Himachal Pradesh Police have reported major breakthroughs in the probe into the firing on Aryan Chauhan, son of the Chief Minister's Media Advisor Naresh Chauhan. The involvement of one of the accused in drug peddling has highlighted intensified action against organised crime in the state.
The case was lodged at a local police station Dhalli on Saturday following a complaint by Aryan Chauhan, a resident of Nav Vihar, Shimla. He alleged that three unidentified persons intercepted him on Tarapur Road after emerging from a vehicle (HP 58A-1965) and attempted extortion and robbery. The FIR was registered under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act.
