Shimla, Oct. 27 -- Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today chaired a meeting of the State Level Vigilance and Monitoring Committee, which was constituted under the Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955, and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. This high-level meeting was held after an interval of 11 years.
The Chief Minister assured that the state government is working with sensitivity and commitment for the welfare of the Scheduled Castes, inspired by the lifelong struggle of Mahatma Gandhi.
