Shimla/Chamba (HP), Jan. 20 -- Following a terrorist incident in Kishtwar, a neighbouring district of Jammu and Kashmir, the borders of Chamba district have been sealed.

Security personnel deployed at the borders have been ordered to remain on high alert.

The Superintendent of Police, Chamba, has issued instructions to the security forces deployed at the district borders to increase patrols and immediately inform senior officers if anything suspicious is observed.

Vehicles coming from Jammu via Doda-Kishtwar are also being thoroughly checked. Chamba district shares a nearly 216-kilometer-long border with the sensitive districts of Doda and Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir.
