Bhubaneswar, Oct. 13 -- The Hot Strip Mill-2 (HSM-2) of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has set a new record by registering its highest-ever daily production in terms of slab and coil weight on October 10.
The unit rolled 9733 tonnes of slab weight to produce 403 coils weighing 9524 tonnes of coils to set the new benchmark, surpassing the previous best rolling of 9671 tons of slabs and production of 9450 tonnes of coils achieved on September,10, 2025.
RSP , ED (HR), Tarun Misra , ED (Works), Biswaranjan Palai and ED (MM) Anil Kumar, visited the department today and congratulated the HSM-II collective for their sustained efforts.
