Tehran, March 16 -- Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Monday that the Strait of Hormuz is open from the viewpoint of Iran, although it is closed only to the enemies and their allies.
The Strait of Hormuz "is open, but closed to our enemies, to those who carried out this cowardly aggression against us and to their allies," he said on the sidelines of a weekly press conference of the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, held here, according to an Iranian news agency.
He stressed that Iran has no hesitation in defending itself and will proceed with the war as long as necessary.
Araqchi declared that Iran has neither sent any message nor made any request for a ceasefire after the outbreak of the US-Israeli military campaign.
