Shillong, July 12 -- A local court here in Meghalaya granted bail to two of the alleged co-accused in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case on July 9.

Assistant public prosecutor Tushar Chanda said that Lokendra Tomar, owner of the flat in which Sonam was staying in Indore after fleeing Meghalaya, and security guard Balbir Ahirbar were granted conditional bail after their judicial custody ended on July 9.

The hearing was held via video conference.

Earlier, after the hearing on July 2, the court had sent another co-accused, property dealer Silom James to judicial custody for 14 days.

James, who has engaged a lawyer from Indore to fight for his case, would be produced in court on July 16, during which he is expected to seek bail.
