Khammam, Oct. 29 -- In view of Cyclone 'Montha' and the heavy rains lashing the region, the District Collector of Khammam, Anudeep Durisetty, has declared a holiday for all educational institutions in the district on Wednesday.
In an official statement, the Collector said that the holiday applies to all government, aided, and private schools and colleges across the district. The decision was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff amid the ongoing adverse weather conditions.
The Collector also advised residents to remain alert and avoid unnecessary travel, as the district continues to experience heavy rainfall and strong winds under the influence of the cyclone.
