Jammu, July 31 -- Hockey Jammu and Kashmir today defeated opponent Kerala by 11 goals to nil in a one-sided affair during the ongoing 16th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.
As per the reports reaching here, Singh Harmanpreet scored the highest five goals for Jammu and Kashmir while Gaganpreet Singh netted two goals and Kawalpreet Singh, Rohanpreet Singh, Taranjot Singh and Pandit Arjun scored one goal each to give a huge victory to the visiting team.
In a post on social media, Hockey J&K expressed that on the basis of the performance in the 16th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship, the J&K team has been upgraded from Group C to Group B by Hockey India.
