Hisar, Oct. 31 -- Hisar Police have recovered and returned the entire Rs 1 lakh lost by a local resident in an online fraud, officials said on Saturday.
A police official said the victim, Kapil Kumar of Hisar, had been cheated of Rs 1 lakh through an online transaction. Following his complaint, a case was registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station, and an investigation was launched.
Acting under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Siddhant Jain, a cybercrime team led by Sub-Inspector Parveen Kumar took prompt action, resulting in the recovery of the entire amount, which was subsequently returned to the complainant.
