Hingoli, July 17 -- : A 38-year-old man was allegedly shot dead in Maharashtra's Hingoli district, prompting police to register a case against a Shiv Sena corporator and 15 others, officials said on Friday.
The incident occurred in Kalamnuri town on Wednesday night and is believed to have stemmed from an old rivalry, police said.
According to officials, the victim, identified as Lukman Siddiqui, sustained bullet injuries during a clash involving a group led by Shiv Sena councillor Kishore Bhalerao. He later succumbed to his injuries.
