Moradabad, Sept. 7 -- The District President of the Hindu Samaj Party was shot dead by unidentified assailants in the Katghar area of Moradabad on Sunday evening. The incident has sparked panic and outrage in the region, especially among Hindu nationalist organizations.
According to reports, the attack took place near the Das Saraiya police outpost when the victim, identified as Kamal Chauhan, was returning home. Suddenly, unknown attackers, reportedly on a motorcycle, ambushed him and opened fire multiple times before fleeing the scene.
Local police reached the spot immediately after being informed and rushed Chauhan to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
