Deoghar, April 8 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday visited Baidyanath Dham in Jharkhand's Deoghar and offered prayers a day ahead of the Assam Assembly election.
Sarma, who arrived in Deoghar earlier in the day, was received by BJP workers before proceeding to the Satsang Ashram and later to the Baidyanath temple, where he performed special prayers.
Security arrangements were tightened at the temple during the visit and entry of general devotees was briefly regulated before normal access resumed after the prayers concluded.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and his wife were also present during the temple visit.
After the prayers, Sarma briefly stayed at Dubey's residence before leaving for Deoghar airport to return to Assam...
