Jaipur, April 11 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday paid obeisance at the holy Khatu Shyambaba shrine in Sikar district and prayed for the BJP's win in the April 9 Assam polls and for peace and prosperity in the state and the country.

Speaking to the media after prayers and worship at the shrine this afternoon, Sarma claimed that the ruling BJP is set to retain power in the state winning 90 to 100 of the total 126 seats which went to polls on Thursday.

He also asserted that the case and accusations by Congress leader Pawan Khera are based on photoshopped photos-papers and forged documents.
