Shimla, June 20 -- : Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday said the state government is undertaking wide-ranging reforms to strengthen the Public Works Department (PWD) and make it technology-driven so that it can effectively meet future infrastructure and disaster-related challenges.

Addressing the North Zone Inter-State Interactive Session on "Quality Assurance in Public Works Departments" here, Sukhu said Himachal Pradesh had experienced several natural disasters over the past three years, and the role of the PWD in restoring connectivity and infrastructure had been commendable.
